§4. Hosting and Server Infrastructure
This website is operated on a dedicated physical server located in a data centre in Germany. The server hardware is leased from Hetzner Online GmbH (Gunzenhausen, Germany). Hetzner provides the physical infrastructure (power, network connectivity, housing) but has no access to the operating system, applications, or any data stored on the server. The server is exclusively administered by DURCHD8 via thing-fast.de, both brands of Dorocom.
Hetzner does not act as a data processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR for the data processed on this server. The relationship is comparable to a colocation arrangement: DURCHD8 is the sole controller of all data.
When you access this website, the server automatically records the following data in server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Requested URL and HTTP method
- HTTP status code and volume of data transferred
- Referrer URL (if transmitted by your browser)
- Browser type and operating system
This data is processed for the purpose of ensuring the secure and stable operation of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in IT security and the integrity of the web service). Server log files are retained for 7 days and then deleted automatically. No merging with other data sources takes place.
§5. Analytics
DURCHD8 does not currently deploy any analytics tools on this website. No tracking cookies are set. No behavioural data is collected.
§6. Cookies

No third-party cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies are in use. Should DURCHD8 introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary in the future, a consent mechanism will be implemented prior to their deployment.
§7. Contact Forms and Communication
If you contact DURCHD8 via email or through a contact form on this website, the data you provide (name, email address, message content) will be processed solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry. Your data will be retained for the duration necessary to process the enquiry and, where required, in accordance with statutory retention obligations (in particular § 147 AO, § 257 HGB). It will not be shared with third parties unless legally required.
§8. SSL/TLS Encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption (minimum TLS 1.2, TLS 1.3 preferred) for all data transmissions between your browser and the server. Encrypted connections are identifiable by the “https://” prefix and the lock icon in your browser.
§9. Third-Party Services
DURCHD8 does not embed third-party services (such as Google Fonts, YouTube, social media plugins, or external CDNs) that would transmit visitor data to third-party servers. All resources required for the operation of this website are served from the DURCHD8 server infrastructure described in §4.
§10. Data Retention
